End of Season Ceilidh Dance

On Thursday 30th May we are holding our end of season Dance in the Hall All welcome to join us there will be easy dancing fun and refreshments.

A Halloween Ceilidh on Thursday 25th October

Come and join us for our Halloween bit of fun, with all the old fashioned traditional things we used to do as children in Scotland…, dress up, and ‘dooking’ for apples. There is a buffet supper too, and there will be Scottish country dancing as well.  All just fun.

MAY 2018 Our end of season DANCE /CEILIDH will be held on 24th

Our AGM will be held on the 17th May. Then to close the Thursday meetings for the season we have our Rose Dance on the 24th.   All welcome to come. There are ceilidh dances all can join in.

The MONDAY DANCE CLASS will continue into June.   Come and see how you get on.

Haggis and neeps and tatties on the menu.   A few short speeches and Scottish dancing which Robert Burns himself went to in his time. A Piper will pipe you in and tartan is welcomed.  Dress formal.

Come and Learn to do Scottish Dancing. Great exercise and great fun

Every Monday evening in the Scottish Hall, Shelbourne Road, Charminster,  we have a dance class and all ages are welcome.  Complete beginners from 7pm until 8.45 … then dancing for more experienced dancers until 10pm.   Our teacher is Sue Ramsay.

Cost per person is £3.50 to include refreshments.

Every Thursday evening we have a social evening when we also try to fit in some dancing.  Scots and all are welcome.

Come and make friends in the Scottish Hall.  We have St Andrew’s buffet dance coming up this Thursday 30th and soon it will be Hogmanay… when we have a real Scottish New Year.   This is closely followed by Burns Night on January 25th 2018.

Come and have a real BURNS NIGHT with the Scots of Bournemouth.  We are honoured that the Mayor & Mayoress will be coming.  Tickets are open to all.  £18 to include Haggis, neeps and tatties , songs and poems by Burns and Scottish country dancing which Robert Burns himself went to classes to learn.
