FORTHCOMING EVENTS IN APRIL AT THE SCOTTISH HALL

On Thursday 4th there will be a TALK on Climbing Kilmanjaro by Dr Rosemary Roberts. Then on the 11th The Caledonian Choir will entertain for an hour. On the 18th we have an interesting item …called Meet the Sassenachs! On Saturday 20th we are holding
a COFFEE MORNING to which all are invited and the month ends with a CEILIDH on the 25TH. Why not come along and see what we do…or take part. A warm SCOTTISH welcome awaits all visitors.

SPRING DANCE March 2nd

We are holding our Spring Dance in the Scottish Hall, Shelbourne Rad, Bournemouth, on Saturday 2nd March. Dancing will be run by our Vice President Sue Ramsay. BURNS NIGHT 24th January …………at DAYS HOTEL Bournemouth

Bookings are now being taken for The Society’s Burns Night. Come and experience a real Scottish Burns Night done in the traditional way.

ST ANDREW’S BUFFET DANCE

On Thursday 29th November in The Scottish Hall, Shelbourne Road, Bournemouth, the Society is holding a Buffet Supper Dance to celebrate our Patron Saint’s day the 30th November. Tickets £10

It is a really good social evening and all can join in as the Scottish dances are walked through. It is fun!
Bring your own bottle to go with the meal as the Hall is not licenced.

AUTUMN DANCE Saturday 3rd NOVEMBER 2012 7pm -11pm

COME TO A CEILIDH AT THE SCOTTISH HALL THURSDAY 25 OCTOBER

We are holding a Ceilidh in our Hall. Have you ever been to one? Do come and join us. There will be songs, Scottish dancing, poetry and more. Come and find out about an ancient tradition…started in Medieval times.. in the NEW FOREST….The Commoners. Whilst it no longer provides a living, it is continued by 300 commoners today. Without this vital tradition the New Forest would soon become a vey different place. Find out how it works and the History of the New Forest from a speaker on Thursday evening 4th Oct in the Scottish Hall.

OPENING NIGHT OF NEW SEASON ‘GATHERING OF THE CLANS’

On Thursday evening 13th September, at the Scottish Hall we are holding our opening night of the new season. It will be a Ceilidh with Scottish dancing for all and a buffet supper. Come along and wear a bit of tartan to make it a colourful evening. Look forward to seeing you.
